I am a multidisciplinary visual artist rooted in graphic and interior design. I am particularly interested in how art and design can be tools for healing, building community, and social activism. My practice is informed by my curiosity and diverse interests—I am an artist, rollercoaster enthusiast, vinyl collector, horror aficionado, and plant parent—and above all, I care about leaving things a little better than I found them.
From a young age, I had a knack for understanding how things “go together.” I spent countless formative hours building and remixing Lego sets, K’nex models, and Rollercoaster Tycoon files, fascinated by how rearranging elements could achieve different results. I thrived on discovering how things fit together and I’ve always loved using that understanding to create something new.
As I grew, so did my competency and passion for arranging things with purpose and creativity. I began my career studying interior architecture—examining the built environment and its effect on habitants—before shifting my focus to graphic design. As an art student, I learned how visual communication is one of the most powerful tools for connection, and how good design can do so much more than serve a business goal… good design informs us, makes our lives simpler, inspires us, and most of all connects us to one another.
My affinity for connecting and creating lead me to several customer service roles early in my career, where I honed a love for understanding people’s unique needs and responding with thoughtful solutions. I then brought this passion to Temple University in 2016, where I’ve spent nearly a decade evolving and stewarding the university’s brand. My success in fostering brand alignment at such a large, diverse organization hinges on this people-first mindset paired with a deep understanding of visual strategy. In 2023, I had the opportunity to view my practice through another lens, as an educator and mentor. Teaching Introduction to Art Direction to a group of 30 bright, driven students challenged me to reverse engineer everything I know and left me with a refreshed perspective on what creative collaboration means.
Whether working in retail, building engaging brands, or mentoring the next generation of creative voices, the core of what I do is connecting, inspiring, and enlightening.
